Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new". Also, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.
Southern Chinese eat niangao (New Year cake made of glutinous rice flour) on this occasion, because as a homophone, niangao means "higher and higher, one year after another." 春节英语作文 篇7
Will Christmas Replace the Spring Festival?
Christmas arouses increasing attention year by year in China. Christmas cards become popular with students. People hold Christmas parties and exchange Christmas girts. A lot or TV and radio programs about Christmas are on. Meanwhile the Spring Festival is less appealing to youngsters. Thus some people wonder whether Christmas will replace the Spring Festival.
This worry is fairly unnecessary. Why ? One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians, college students and joint-venture workers. Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities. Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exotic festival. By contrast, the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family.
I think,it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West,a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional
festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever.
春节英语作文 篇8
In the sound of the firecrackers, we have ushered in the most grand festival of the Chinese people - the Spring Festival.
The family is happy, hung red lanterns, red red spring festival couplets, busy... At the beginning of the first month, it was a happy Japanese son. I used to be the most late person, but today I contend for the first, because I want to smell the smell of the scent of the firecracker. Lighting firecrackers in people's hands, really loud, splash, as if every blessing to thousands of households, the bursts of firecrackers sound continuously, crackling, lively and extraordinary. After the sound of the firecrackers, there was nothing fun. Eat breakfast and go out to play later! After dinner, I invited some friends to play in the street lighting firecrackers, opened in the beautiful flower, very beautiful, the bag containing the pocket money to their parents, very pleased. Today's birds come out too, and maybe they are happy in their hearts, too. The street is worthy of the streets and everything is eaten. Most of the children I saw were children, and I looked at the best business of a spicy stall: "I want a bunch of rice cakes!" A fat boy called. See how to go somewhere else? TanQian in a stationery store, I stopped. There are all kinds of things to play there: airplane models, telescopes, electric cars... There's something to play with. I found the most popular thing to play with.
In other places, I also saw some selling balloons, pistols, rope skipping, some selling snacks, snacks, fruit, wear with eat everything, it is Nothing is too strange.
春节英语作文 篇9
This year's Spring Festival is really unforgettable, with Spring Festival couplets, New Year of worship, dragon dance... One of the most memorable ones was the fire.
That time, (time should be related to the Spring Festival) I bought a large box of fire with my pocket money, and I played with my brother zhou lei. We put the fireworks "wuzhuang" chose one of the light, a variety of fireworks sprayed out in all directions, they cover the purple, and yellow, reflected in white, with dazzling meteor, a layer with a layer of, beautiful! But just when we had a good time, it happened that I didn't have an accident. Zhou lei's clothes were burned and he was scolded by his mother. Looking at the poor look, I couldn't help but say to him, "it's ok, if you don't hurt your body, you'll be fine. Let's get a new game! He repeatedly shook his head at me: "I don't play, I don't play!" Then I found an iron bucket next to me, and I lit up in my heart. I lit a bucket and put it in a bucket immediately. A deafening sound of "dune" came out of the bucket and I cheered, "success! Success!" "It's safe! "He also laughed, and we began to have fun again.
春节英语作文 篇10
My Sheep year Spring Festival is special. My uncle and my aunt came back from Shanghai. My family were very happy to keep the Spring Festival with them. And it was the most exciting festival of all the festivals.
On New Year’s Eve, my father and my uncle talked about their work together. My mum did some cooking with my aunt Grandparents and I watched the New Year TV programmes. At about six o’clock, we had a special family dinner. We all thought the dumplings were delicious.
On the first day of the New Year, we visited our relatives. In the afternoon, we went shopping in Jiefanf Road. My uncle bought some Jay’s CDs. He likes Jay’s music very much. There were so many people on the road. It was more alive than any other time of a year.
On the second and the third days, we spent a wonderful weekend in the country. There were much bigger trees than in the city. And the animals were more beautiful than in the city. We all enjoyed ourselves.
