每当机遇降临，伴之而来的是成功的希望，但是机遇不能自行实现成功。假如你要取得成就或要实现你的雄心壮志，你必须努力工作、艰苦奋斗、准备好条件。否则，机遇来临你却无法利用。

成功者与失败者的区别就在于处理机遇的态度。成功者做好充分准备迎接机遇的适时来临。而失败者工作懒散，眼看机遇悄然而过。

我的观点是，在我们的社会里人人都有许多机遇，但是只有那些做好充分准备并且高度称职的人才能利用机遇达到目的。

Opportunities don’t come often. They come every once in a while. Very often, they come quietly and go by without being noticed. Therefore, it is advisable that you should value and treat them care.

When an opportunity comes , it brings a promise but never realizes it on its own. If you want to achieve something or intend to fulfil one of your ambitions, you must work hard, make efforts and get prepared. Otherwise, you will take no advantage of opportunities when they come to visit you.

The difference between a man who succeeds and one who does not lies only in the way each treats opportunities. The successful person always makes adequate preparations to meet opportunities as they duly arrive. The unsuccessful person, on the other hand, works little and just waits to see pass by.

In my opinion, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in our society, but only those who are prepared adequately and qualified highly can make use of them to achieve purpose.

Cells cannot remain alive outside certain limits of temperature and much narrower limits mark the boundaries of effective functioning. Enzyme systems of mammals and birds are most efficient only within a narrow range around 37C;a departure of a few degrees from this value seriously impairs their functioning. Even though cells can survive wider fluctuations the integrated actions of bodily systems are impaired. Other animals have a wider tolerance for changes of bodily temperature.

For centuries it has been recognized that mammals and birds differ from other animals in the way they regulate body temperature. Ways of characterizing the difference have become more accurate and meaningful over time， but popular terminology still reflects the old division into "warm-blooded" and "cold-blooded" species; warm-blooded included mammals and birds whereas all other creatures were considered cold-blooded. As more species were studied， it became evident that this classification was inadequate. A fence lizard or a desert iguana-each cold-blooded——usually has a body temperature only a degree or two below that of humans and so is not cold. Therefore the next distinction was made between animals that maintain a constant body temperature， called home0therms， and those whose body temperature varies with their environments， called poikilotherms. But this classification also proved inadequate， because among mammals there are many that vary their body temperatures during hibernation.

一、时间分配

作文时间弹性很大，发挥好的同学30分钟就可完成大小作文，发挥不好的同学可能一个小时还写不好，但一般情况下，需要将写作时间控制在50分钟内，即小作文15分钟，大作文35分钟。写作过程可分为三个阶段：

（1）审题（小作文2分钟，大作文3分钟）

一定要认真审题，定下大概写作方向，勾勒出文章的大概框架。很多英语基础较好的同学考研写作未能取得高分，就是因为没有仔细审题。有些同学担心时间不够，草草浏览题目，动笔就写，而写完发现跑题了，写得再好也是不及格分。审题时确定文章的中心思想和每段的主题句，可以列出简短的写作提纲。

（2）写作（小作文12分钟，大作文30分钟）

应该把大部分时间用于写作。多数同学没有时间打草稿，因此，动笔之前应把句子考虑成熟，尽量少作改动。考生在备考阶段可按照时间要求多写几篇文章，以便了解时间分配。

考试时，最好使用黑色的钢笔或签字笔，不要使用蓝色、红色笔，更不要使用铅笔，最好不要使用涂改液。另外，一定要把作文写在答题纸指定区域内，不要写在试卷或草稿纸上。

（3）检查（小作文1分钟，大作文2分钟）

如果想在写作中取得理想分数，一定要花一两分钟时间检查文章，要检查内容是否切题，论点是否明确，论据是否充分，结论是否合理，表达是否符合语域要求，语法是否正确，用词是否贴切，拼写是否正确，标点是否得当等。修改时最好不要划掉一句或一段重新写。

二、草稿VS提纲

有些考生出于卷面整洁的考虑，主张先打草稿，其实大可不必这样做。考试时间很紧，如果将大部分时间用在打草稿上，可能会没有时间将最后定稿的文章抄到答题纸上，造成不必要的丢分。

打草稿不值得推荐，但为避免大篇幅的改动，考生可在动笔前先列个提纲。列提纲的步骤是：首先确定文章的主题，寻找支持主题的事实、观点；接着思考如何引出主题、如何论证主题以及如何结尾；然后可用简单的提示性文字将思考确定后的写作思路表示出来。

三、词汇攻略

由于词汇量不足或者考试时情绪紧张，考生很可能会遇到一些意思不知道如何用英语表达的情况。遇到这种情况，千万不要使用汉语拼音代替英语表达，也不要自己创造词语。

可以采取以下几种方式应对这种困境：使用上义词，如可以把saw和hammer写作tool；用从句进行解释说明，如可以把数码相机写作a camera that takes pictures without film；避开自己不会写的.词语，用自己熟悉的词语重新构思。如果希望在考场上做到得心应手，考生需要下工夫熟练掌握基本词汇的用法。

四、模板使用

模板是众多考生关心的问题。由于功课繁重，很多考生平时没有时间进行写作练习，只能寄希望于考前押题，结果屡战屡败。当前是一个图文时代，根本不可能押中题目，考生应扎扎实实提高写作基本功，不能怀有丝毫的侥幸心理。

根据我们多年的教学经验，多数考生，尤其是英语基础不太好的考生，很难短期内在英语写作方面取得质的飞跃。如想取得写作及格分，记忆模板未尝不可。

而根据我们的实战经验，考前最多记忆两个框架，即写作A节和写作B节各一个。考生需要在考前总结出属于自己的两个独特的写作框架，并按照框架各写至少5篇作文（题目不限），临场前将其背熟，到考场上再根据具体的题目进行现场发挥和创造。

四、注意事项

（1）卷面整洁

考官需要在很短的时间内判断出文章质量的优劣，因此第一印象就显得十分重要。字体娟秀、卷面整洁会让考官眼前一亮，考官在阅读文章的时候就会有一个好心情，潜意识里就会给你一个较高的分数。如果字迹潦草，卷面凌乱，无疑会引起考官的厌恶，从而影响成绩。

（2）文章的脉络

在第一印象之后，考官会迅速浏览你的文章，寻找那些符合高分标准的要素。如果考生的文章行文思路清晰、论据充足、论证充分，自然大大减轻了考官的工作量，使得考官能够很快掌握考生的写作水平。

主要的段落需要有较强的层次感，使人可以快速抓住作者的思路，同时表现出作者分析、表达事物的能力。英文作文的行文还需要较强的连贯性，包括过渡句和过渡词以及逻辑连接词的运用等。

（3）闪光点

由于大部分考生对词汇和句式的掌握都处于一般水平，在写作中能够将词汇和句型运用自如的人非常少，所以考生若能在文章中使用几个精彩的词汇、词组和句式，不仅能够为文章增色不少，还能更加吸引考官的眼球，取得更高的分数。

总之，一定要淡定从容，先审题，然后草拟提纲，最后认真作答。
