英语作文600字 篇1
Dear Miss Li,
I am writing to share my ideas about our English class. Now, our main material in the class is the textbook, which is reasonable. But I think we can get some other resources, such as English magazines, songs, movies and so on. We can learn the basic knowledge from out textbook, and get some more from other materials. In addition, those materials are more authentic and practical, which will be useful to our learning. Besides, by doing so, we can get more fun from learning and develop our interest to English. Please take good consideration of my advice. Thank you!
A Diary of the first week of the beginning of this new term
Sunday, September 7th, 20xx
This week was the first week of the beginning of this new term. That meant that I finished my summer vacation and studied at school again. I could see my friends and our teachers again. And I really liked this feeling, because I thought although this summer vacation was happy, but that still was very boring. I felt I didn’t have any things to do. I don’t like this feeling. So I really liked this week. I didn’t have too much homework and any exams. That was very relaxing. But I think next week it will be different and it will not be so relaxing. And this week only had three days. So I felt this week spent very quickly. And in this new term, we have Chinese classes six times a week, but we have computer classes only once a week. Maybe that was good for us, but I thought that could make us and our Chinese teacher feel tired. But in fact, I had a very nice week.

Steve never graduated from a college, he quit school and then focused his attention on the computer. He made it and started his own company. Later he got fired and he turned to create the animation studio, which later saved the Apple company. Stay hungry, stay foolish helped Steve to be successful.
英语作文600字 篇4
Can Money Buy Happiness?
Can money buy happiness? Different people have different opinions. Some think yes, while others hold the opposite.
It is true that with enough money one can buy all the things one wants, and live a life of comfort and security. However, it is equally true that lack of money causes great distress. It is a common view that "money is the root of all evil." The pursuit of money drives many people to cheat and steal. In some places there is nothing that cannot be bought with money, resulting in corrupt societies where everybody is miserable.
So, money does not necessarily mean happiness. It all depends on how it is used. If we make honest and sensible use of money, it can be a stepping-stone to happiness l Although money cannot buy happiness, it can make happiness possible if it is employed sensibly.
英语作文600字 篇5
Dear Carl,
I am happy to know that you are getting along well with your Chinese. Its quite natural that you should have difficulties with Chinese idioms, because their meanings are so much different from their apparent meanings.
The original meaning of the idiom attached is that when the shepherd found his sheep missing because of the broken sheepfold , he was advised to mend it in time.Today, the moral of the idiom is that when you make a mistake and do something wrong, you should correct it as soon as possible. It is somewhat equal to an English phrase “Late better than never”.For example, you can use the idiom to encourage your friend to work harder to make up the time he has wasted.Hope you will make more progress!
Best regards!
Yours,
Li Hua
