New Life In Dongzhou Middle School

Every morning I get up early at about six because I must go to school. I have my breakfast on the road--a big hamburger and a glass of milk at six thirty. My classmates and I begin to read books at six forty. In the morning， I have five classes. They’re Chinese， maths， English and two other lessons. After the fifth class， I go to the dining room for lunch. At noon， I can write some exercises and read some newspapers. In the afternoon， I have another three lessons. Of all the subjects， I like Chinese， Maths and English. At about four thirty， I have sports in the playground or go home. I do not ride a bike because my home is not far from our school. At home， first I cook supper by myself， then I have a nice supper. After supper， I wash dishes and chopsticks. Then I take a pleasant bath and wash my dirty clothes. Last， I do my homework. In the evening， if it is early， I watch TV. If it is late， I go to bed.

I usually spent two hours in study at night and I went to the classroom forautonomous learning.But the difference is that I have many extracurricular activities. For example, I went to the English Corner regularly on Tuesday night, in which I could practice my spoken English and make friends with common interests.

Besides, I join the Student Union of my department. In the Student Union, I have a group of workmates who work hard together and support to each other. Actually, it looks like a big, warm family that we can share our lives together. During various activities, I realize the importance of team spirit that helps us go further.

Finally, college is great stage to improve a student and show one's abilities. In college, I know more about our society and get more channels to explore the outside world. I realize that I am not only a student but also an adult who is preparing to step into the society.

My university life has been one of the most colorful parts of my life. I will never forget the day when I first stepped into the university. First, studying on the campus gives me lots of pleasure. After some very arduous military training, I became absolutely absorbed in my studies. These courses arouse my insatiable desire for knowledge and make me learn and digest as much as I can. To be frank, I had some difficulties in keeping up with my teachers at first, but later with the help of my teachers, I made remarkable progress. Besides, social activities on campus provide me with more chances to learn. I will never forget the days I served as a volunteer at the 20xx Shanghai World Expo. After some training in Chinese history and language skills both in Japanese and English, I endeavored to serve our distinguished guests from all over the world enthusiastically. I was a volunteer as well as a disseminator of our splendid culture. There was no doubt that I came across many difficulties at first, such as humid weather, language barriers and so on. Thanks to other volunteers’ help, I overcame those difficulties. When it was time to depart, I couldn’t help bursting into tears, because I had developed a deep friendship with other volunteers. This precious experience made me aware of the huge responsibility on my shoulders. Just as the old saying goes, “we make a living by what we get, and we make a life by what we give.”

In my opinion, university life has been the most splendid time in my life so far, and many students cherish this period of time and hope that in the future they may become outstanding members of society. But there are also some ignorant students who get together every day only to eat, drink, play computer games or date. Attending schools abroad has many advantages. Furthermore, the cost of living is much higher than that in our country, so most students have to find partime jobs in order to support themselves. Faced with these difficulties, many students find themselves unable to pay full attention to their studies and some students may even fail in their courses and learn little.
