Besides so many cars, there are many factories too.From the chimneys of these factories, we get the smoke usually in a black or grey color. This kind of smoke, when it mixes with the air, is dangerous to our health. It is because smoke contains many small poisonous soils and gases. When my tenth birthday was coming up, I was happy imaging what kind of present my father would give me. To my surprise, Father gave me a set of books, which I was not very glad to accept. He saw what I was thinking and said kindly: "Dear, remember, books are the most precious fortune in the world, I am sure that once you finish reading the first book, you will be anxious to read the second one, then the third, the forth…" According to my father's words, I have to give reading a try. And things really happened as he expected. Books indeed exerted a strong influence on me. From then on, I stepped into a new and wonderful world that books spread open for me.

新的学期开始了，我们班新换了一位英语老师，她的名字叫：Kelly，我很喜欢这个新老师。

在上课的时候，她教会了我们很多知识，也会给我们唱歌，还和我们一起玩了一个新游戏：“回声”。游戏是这样的：老师先挑选一个小组来进行这个游戏，坐在最后的一位同学先用最大的声音，读出老师指定的新单词，然后他前面的同学读这个单词的时候，声音要比他的音量稍微轻一点，以此类推，一个比一个的声音小，等到了座位坐在最前排同学读这个单词的`时候，已经完全听不见声音了，只能看到他的嘴巴在动着，呵呵呵……太好笑了！

这个游戏真的好有趣，一边玩一边就可以记住很多单词，Kelly老师的方法可真好啊！
