Internet Slang

Internet slang such as LOL (laughing out loud) and ROFL (rolling on the floor laughing) enjoys great popularity among teenagers nowadays. In fact, it becomes so popular that many terms now cross from computer-mediated communication to face-to-face communication. Some teenagers even use them in essay writing.

People have different opinions towards this phenomenon. Some people say that it will help enrich the language system and make language diverse. But others disagree, saying that these new words, being abbreviations for existing, long-used phrases, don't "enrich" anything; they just shorten it and their total effect on language will be trivial.

In my opinion, Internet slang has little effect on language in general, but will greatly influence individuals', especially teenagers' language development. The reason is that overuse of Internet slang will lead to the lack of proper punctuations and grammar and has numerous misspellings in writing. That will drastically reduce chances of employment when students graduate and seek jobs. So, for the sake of their future, teenagers had better refrain from Internet slang.

妈妈睹我如斯迫切地想学英语，就把我迎入了一个周终英语兴致班。刚开端的一个学期，我在活泼乏味的课堂气氛中，匆匆的喜欢上了英语天天都重复读英语对话。又功了一个教期，我未经能够说一些简略的英语对话了，还能腹一些英语小故事了。妈妈听了，愉快地表彰了我，也让我信念倍增。

In fact, the governments allow on-campus students to get married before they complete their course. There isn‘ t a regulation proclaimed in writing to forbid marriage of on-campus students. But it must affect those triers.

In my opinion, it is unnecessary to forbid on-campus students to get married before they finished their college, however, it shouldn‘ t be advocated or encouraged. Because, for on-campus students, their play the role as learners. Their main task is to learn. If they married, their school work must be affected and they may not graduate favorably or may not be capable for future works. So, I believe: almost all on-campus students would deal with the question reasoningly .

My view on the Negative Effects of Some Advertisements Nowadays ther are a lot of false advertisements in society. They have caused many harms to society. Generally, their harms can be listed as follows.

First, they exaggerate the functions of the goods they advertise and mislead consumers.

Second , some advertisements contain obscene contents and bring about spiritual pollution.

Third, they seriously damage the credit of businesses because the shops which sell those goods will be distrusted and even considered the conspirators of those advertisers by consumers.

Personally, I am usually vigilant against any advertisements and so I have never been taken in. However, some people are credulous and are easily taken in. Therefore, in my opinion, effective measures must be taken to ban false advertisements and protect consumersinterests. First, all the advertisements must be strictly censored by the authorities concerned before they are published. Besides, severe punishment must be inflicted on those who publish illegal advertisements. In conclusion, false advertisements must be eliminated in our society.

I once read an article. In a school, there were lots of beautiful tables. The tables were used to have meals. Through the large windows, the students could see green grass and the sun. Wasn’t it wonderful?One day, the schoolmaster went on a trip. On the way, he went to a good restaurant. He ordered a lot of delicious food and sat down to enjoy it. Suddenly, he saw a boy outside the window, and the little boy was looking at the food. He didn’t know the schoolmaster was looking at him, still staring at the food. Finally, the little boy was found by the waiter and turned away.

After the schoolmaster went back to school, he made a decision to replace the beautiful tables with ordinary ones.

This story makes me deeply touched. Many people just enjoy everything but are never satisfied. They ask for materials but never think of others. Compared with the poor people, we are really happy.

In America, Bill Gates has given away most of his money to help others. In China, there are a lot of hope projects. On the Internet, a site collects rice to help poor people. So let’s act to help poor people. I believe that if everyone contributes love, the world will become much more beautiful!
