The Popularity of Blog

In recent years, blog has become very popular. More and more people have created their own blogs and often visit others’ blogs. They use blog to reveal their inner voice, or collect and share thoughts and things they find interesting. In brief, blog is an online dairy or a frequently updated personal page.

Why does blog become so popular in such a short time? Firstly, it is the widespread of Internet that provides a platform for the appearance and popularity of blog. The fax has greatly changed office work， especially in China. When you place a sheet of paper in a fax machine， the machine "reads" the writing on the page and changes the shapes of letters into electronic signals. It then sends these signals down an ordinary telephone line to another fax machine， which changes the signals back into the shapes of letters. You can imagine how usful this is， particularly in countries like China and Japan， which use written characters not letters. It is also useful for sending pictures， designs， maps and so on.

Sending a fax in more expensive than posting a letter， but much quicker. For example， you can send information abroad immediately， but mailing a letter might take a week or so. If you want to send a letter to an office abroad that is in a different time one， you can send a fax， and it will be received even though the office is not open. There are two other points to consider. First， remember that a fax can be read by anyone， so be careful what you send! Second， do not start faxing everything! It is much cheaper to post or email a long report than to fax it.

1、字迹工整。或许这4个字你的'老师对你已经不厌其烦的指出过了。但是现在我还是要把它摆在第一位。如果因为你的字迹原因而……那你就没事偷着哭吧。千万别再把“al”写得像“d”那样，单词之间也不要再亲密接触了，留点空隙。如果我给你上一个小时的写作课，那么前三十分钟甚至更长时间我会让你默写26个字母，工整抄写一些文章，再随意写些东西，总之，直到工整，清楚为止。因为这不仅仅能让你避免蒙受冤屈的噩运，甚至能让你提高至少一个分数段（4分），即使你的语言简单，内容不够充实也不至于得低分。牢记在心：字迹工整，卷面清洁！

3、慎用套词！现在很多老师都建议学生在临考前背一些范文、重点句式，几乎所有的作文参考书上也罗列了一大堆此类范文、重点句式。在应试作文中，这些句式“放之四海而皆准”，曾经让无数考生从中尝到了甜头。但是请大家注意了，时光已经走到了公元20xx年，阅卷老师的观念也正在“与时俱进”。现在那些阅卷老师普遍对那些套词恨之入骨。这也不奇怪，虽然有的句子很好，但是如果用的人多了，也就失去了新鲜，甚至会遭到反感。

阅卷老师一看就知道是套词，所有的看图作文都能用，于是就当考生没写这句话。再看到这句话，开始反感，觉得考生水平不高，就会用别人的话，反而会留下不好的印象，自然不会给高分；换了份卷子，怎么还是这句话？！直接就给你打入冷宫。这也不奇怪，就算是满汉全席也有吃厌的时候，更何况一个十分钟能见八回的句子？这样出彩的句子尚且如此，更别提那些俗上加俗、倒人胃口的套词了：howinterestingthepictureis！Ascanbeseenfromthepicture等等。最让人深恶痛绝的一句是asfarasIamconcerned…撇开其用法不确切不说，你读一下，算算用了几秒？[a：][e:]都是长音，老师在一个段落上不会耗费超过3秒的时间，你想让他看些什么呢？如果你觉得Ithink太俗，可以选些不太常用但是语法上毫无错误的表达方法来发表观点。如：I’mconvincedthat，Istronglybelievethat，总之，既然你想发表观点，就直接说明，让老师尽快了解，让他1秒钟之内就能判断出你没有跑题就是最成功之处！切记：慎用套词！

4、语言朴实，但尽量用长句、大词。（准确的基础之上）一句话，量力而行！如果语言流畅，即使用2500个常用词也能写出好文章，不会得低分。当然，如果你背过托福、GRE，那么拽些长词也未尝不可，但切忌第一不要用词太偏，达到英语专业学生词汇即够，并不是每个老师都背过GRE，他也不会去为一个不认识的词搬字典，如果你运气不好的话会被定为别字！切忌第二不要用错！！如果拿不准拼写或用法，尽量不要用难词，用其它的说法替换掉。否则会给老师留下非常不好的印象，认为你瞎拽词，那就惨了。只看文章开头这两个词，老师就会形成初步打分印象，你的命运就已经差不多定下来了。对于句式，如果你的基础不够扎实，不要乱用独立主格结构、插入成分、虚拟语气、倒装、平衡结构等特殊句式，也许平铺直叙对你来说更合适，这样如果你的用词没有重大错误，就能得到及格分9分。如果你的英语水平很好，那么你可以适量的、谨慎的、有选择的使用一些长句、从句和特殊结构，这样在用词准确、中心明确的基础上，老师会形成很好的印象，认为你的基本功扎实，就会给高分11分左右。

5、切题！切题乃作文之本，一旦跑题（如果不幸被老师看出的话，不过放心，如果没有跑题一般不会被误判的），那就只剩下安慰分了。为了避免此种情况发生，还是不要过于标新立异，切记：四、六级考试作文，从来没有哪个考生是因为其立意新颖，观点独到而得高分的。如果没有太大差别，阅卷老师不会太关心你的中心思想的。高分的作文并不赢在立意上，而是在语言和句式上！切记：不要标新立异！

6、长度适中！要求150字左右（四级120字），不要写太短，免得字数不够，降两档处理。我估计字数大家都不会成问题，我在这里要强调的是：字数可千万别写太多了。要知道，应试作文，按照要求去做是最实惠的，人家要求150字，你为什么偏要奔着200去呢？记住：写得越多，错的必然也就越多！老师阅卷的过程，不就是一个给你作文挑错的过程么？既然如此，何必自讨苦吃呢？
