Nowadays, people are interested in collecting something they like. So do I. In my opinion, it’s interesting for me to collect stamps.

On my 6th birthday, my parents give me some stamps as the birthday gift. At that time, I was attracted by the beautiful picture on it and decided to start collecting stamps. I have been collecting stamps since 8 years ago. Now, collecting stamps become a part of my life. I usually appreciate them when I was free. And I am the first person at school to have 1000 stamps. On the other hand, I want to start a stamp collectors’ club so that all of the collectors who have the same hobby as me can share the valuable stamps together.

In a word, I benefit a lot from collecting stamps. It not only makes my free time colorful but also enables me to know more different culture.

In my opinion, all Chinese people should inherit the merits of Sinology. To do so, we can read books by ourselves or to attend lectures on this issue. The term “naked marriage” was coined in recent years, it refers to a union of two people without considering material conditions. In Chinese tradition, when people married, the boy should give some dowries to the girl’s parents, what’s more, as the time goes by, nowadays, a house and a car seem to be the necessary things for the marriage. While as the pressure is so heavy to a marriage, somecouples make the brave choice, they choose to marry with abandoning the tradition, they don’t want the tradition becomes an obstacle of their love. Though most parents are not agreed with such idea, some open-minded parents have accepted the naked marriage. They think if they love each other deeply, they will fight for their future together.

Using a computer every day can have more negative than positive effects on young children. Do you agree or disagree?

I tend to agree that young children can be negatively affected by too mcuh time spent on the computer every day. This is partly because sitting in front of a screen for too long can be damaging to both the eyes and the physical posture of a young child, regardless of what they are using the computer for.

However, the main concern is about the type of computer activities that attract children. These are often electronic games that tend to be very intense and rather violent. The player is usually the hero of the game and too much exposure can encourage children to be self-centered and insensitive to others.

Even when children use a computer for other purposes, such as getting information or emailing friends, it is no substitute for human interaction. Spending time with other children and sharing non-virtual experiences is and important part of a childs development that cannot be provided by a computer.

In spite of this, the obvious benefits of computer skills for young children cannot be denied. Their adult world will be changing constantly in terms of technology and the Internet is the key to all the knowledge and information available in the world today. Therefore it is important that children learn at an early age to use the equipment enthusiastically and with confidence as they will need these skills throughout their studies and working lives.
