Today is New Year's eve, this day, I was in my hometown bo bai dongping.

Early in the morning, some people began to set off firecrackers, hot and noisy. At night, the sun looks at the earth for the last time, then closes his eyes and slowly hides behind the mountain. We were busy, grandma cleaned the house, grandpa posted the couplets at the door, my mother helped to set the dishes, my father was playing chess with others, I was beside the audience, everyone was busy. We had a family reunion dinner, and relatives back home would have to come back for the meal. After eat the family reunion dinner, we began to shou sui, we sat in front of the television watching the Spring Festival gala, when doing these things, or from a few sound deafening firecrackers, laughter everywhere permeated with joy.

When I was preparing for the New Year, my father, brother and sister took a lot of fireworks and rushed to the top of the building. Dad held the cigarette lighter, one by one set the fireworks on fire, and in the distance, there was a colorful fireworks display. These fireworks, various, colorful, the sky is decorated with a flower, the night sky suddenly become dazzling. Was watching TV came out, and even across the pillow are awakened by sound of firecrackers, fireworks, laughter, and have put on clothes out, at this moment, everyone in the heart of matchless excitement and excitement.

This worry is fairly unnecessary. Why ？One reason lies that Christmas only affects Christians，college students and joint-venture workers. Another reason is that Christmas is mostly celebrated in cities. Few people in countryside show extreme interest in this exotic festival. By contrast，the Spring Festival is the most influential traditional festival in every family.

I think，it is natural that with increasing exchanges with the West，a lot of Western holidays have been gradually introduced into China. For us Chinese we should never neglect or even discard our own traditional festivals. For centuries Chinese have observed this traditional holiday to welcome the beginning of a new year. And we will treasure the Spring Festival forever.
